Nordeus Releases Top Eleven Mobile App for iPhone and iPod Touch

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

Belgrade, Serbia (PRWEB UK) 23 November 2011

Social games developer Nordeus (http://www.nordeus.com) today announces its first iOS app with the release of Top Eleven (http://www.topeleven.com) for iPhone and iPod touch. The football (soccer) management game, that is currently played by over three million Android and Facebook users every month, is available to download via Apples App Store for free at http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/top-eleven/id459035295?mt=8

Top Eleven lets would-be football managers select, train and build their own squad of players to compete against friends and other players over the course of a 28-day season. Those at the top of the league can relish in the glory of promotion into the next league, facing tougher opponents and with the rewards of more money, better players and the lure of the Champions Cup. Managers are also responsible for every detail of running the club, from developing players careers, picking the best sponsorship deals and building new stadium facilities.

We aim to provide a seamless gaming experience for our Top Eleven fans no matter what device youre using, said Branko Milutinovi, Nordeus CEO. You can kick off a Top Eleven game on a desktop, and if you have to pop out at half-time you can now continue to follow your game on your iPhone.

This latest mobile version of Top Eleven follows on from the Android version of Top Eleven last month, making this the first truly cross-platform football management title. Already, Top Eleven has had over 80,000 downloads from the Android Market, with an average review rating of 4.4/5. Top Eleven for iPhone and iPod Touch has been optimized for the latest version of iOS 5, and works across iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS as well as on the iPod Touch.

Whilst Top Eleven is free to download, players can use in-app purchases to buy tokens, allowing for faster development and progression through the game.

Since launching the mobile version of Top Eleven weve seen the average daily players of the game increase, as well as an increase in the frequency of check-ins. Players are spending more time within the game to help their teams progress, said Branko Milutinovi.

Nordeus was recently picked as the best European gaming startup in the prestigious Europas awards. Their Top Eleven game became the most played sports game on Facebook after it overtook gaming giant Electronic Arts EA SPORTS FIFA Superstars in June 2011.

Dealer Mobile Visitors on the Rise – Dealer Apps, Dealer Mobile Sites

Friday, August 13th, 2010

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) November 23, 2011

This isn’t breaking news. We know that more and more mobile devices are accessing the web on a daily basis. What might not be news to you, however, is the coming mobile tidal wave reports are predicting.

Ciscos spring 2011 study cites 2010 mobile data traffic nearly tripled (2.6x) for the third year in a row. A Tech Crunch article states mobile traffic is expected to rise 40x in the next 5 years. In the app world, Apple and Android combine to exceed 24 billion downloads – this number up from 8.4 billion in 2010.

The coming tidal wave of mobile devices is turning into a tsunami. As such we need to evaluate how mobile users are engaging with our virtual storefront.

Your Mobile Visitors

Have you looked at your sites mobile traffic? Heres how to with a Google Analytics account:

Log in to your Analytics account.

Once logged in, you need to look on the left hand column for Visitors.

Under Visitors, click on Mobile.

You will then see statistics of people who viewed your site with mobile phones.

Chances are youll be surprised at the number. Even more interesting look at how that number has increased over the last few months. DealerRefresh focused on this topic in May of 2010 read the comments section from participating dealers.

“Hosting a weekly video series Mobile and the Dealer allows me to chat with dealers around the nation,” stated AutoMotionTV President Ben Anderson. He continued, “Dealers are consistently reporting 20% of total web traffic coming from mobile devices. This has increased ten fold for some over the last 12 months!”

Bouncing or Sticking?

Take a look at how mobile visitors are behaving on your site. Specifically look at bounce rates of mobile visitors and compare them to traditional visitors. If youre like many, youll see sky-high bounce rates on your mobile visitors. In this podcast: Eric Hanson talks about mobile visitor bounce rates of vegas.com and how optimization strategies effectively lowered those stats.

Understanding Mobile Visitor Behavior

More and more reports are showing different behavior patterns for mobile visitors vs. desktop. This only makes sense, but we are now seeing data to back it up. Whats clear: giving a mobile user a desktop experience results in bounces and decreased conversion, if any.

Time on site metrics for traditional desktop users continues to be higher than metrics for mobile devices. Mobile visitors are on the go. They consume information many times in sections rather than a single sitting. The essence of being on the go doesnt allow for prolonged spans of attention. An interesting study by ClickTale, puts some numbers to the speculation that mobile users dont like to scroll. Long loading times, scrolling, zooming,: all of these functions are turns off and contribute to bounces for a desktop formatted website.

Capturing Mobile Visitors

Top dealers are providing a mobile-optimized experience for their customer. These dealers are using mobile sites and mobile apps designed to capture the customer, providing first the information they are seeking, then spurring them to action. If you buy a mobile site or mobile app from a quality vendor serving the dealer market, youll see a lot of attention has been placed on channeling the customer through a specific set of processes.

Now that dealer apps can be downloaded right from the dealership website, dealers are using apps to create long-term relationship channels with the customer from pre-sale to post-sale service and incentives.

As mobile device traffic increases, make sure your marketing strategy doesnt forget your mobile customer.

Mobile Phone Comparison Website has More to it than Meets the Eye

Saturday, August 7th, 2010

London, UK (PRWEB UK) 13 June 2011

A new brand has been launched to provide news and reviews on mobile phones along with price comparison for mobile phone deals and recycling. SoMobile is a spin off brand from the website DialToSave.

DialToSave was founded in the summer of 2003 by the then school student Richard Cappin, as a way to sell international phone cards online at http://www.dialtosave.co.uk. The website was expanded in October of 2005 to include a selection of mobile phone deals, which was later improved to be a full price comparison service.

These two sides of DialToSave have now been split, allowing for the launch of SoMobile, a UK focussed mobile phone news, reviews and deals website at http://www.somobile.co.uk. Still bearing the same name, DialToSave now returns to its original objective of providing cheap international phone calls from the UK, albeit with a much improved service from when it launched eight years ago.

“This development is very exciting for both these brands,” says DialToSave founder Richard Cappin. “The content now on SoMobile deserved its own home with a relevant name that can be built into a strong brand known for great editorial content about the mobile phone industry.”

“In the coming months we will continue to introduce additional features to the CreditTalk service on DialToSave that allows UK consumers to call abroad for less from their mobile phone.”

In terms of its price comparison feature, SoMobile will be going up against strong competitors such as Moneysupermarket, Recombu and Top10.com. Top10.com was recently purchased by the utility price comparison website uSwitch whose sister company is another mobile phone price comparison website called Omio.

“The focus for SoMobile will be on building a reputation for breaking news in the UK mobile phone market,” says Cappin. “This complements the already strong database of mobile phone reviews and price comparison features for both new mobile phone deals and handset recycling.”

“Our aim is to support the consumer through their entire online research needs relating to mobile phones, starting with news about upcoming releases, reviews and feature comparison of phones after they’re released, price comparison of the deals available and finally a comparison of the money offered by recycling websites for old devices.”

Point and Click: New Mobile App from Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Area Leaders Simplifies the Twin Cities Home-Search Process

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) November 25, 2011

The real estate search has gone high-tech. Certainly, its been heading that way for years, as people rely on their computers and mobile devices to find properties. But a new mobile Twin Cities real estate app takes the technology one step further, while at the same time harkening back to the days when finding a place to live meant getting in the car and covering ground.

The new mobile real estate app, available from Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Area Leaders to both iPad and iPhone users, takes the search for Minneapolis and St. Paul area single-family homes to places its never gone before. Thats due in large part to a feature called HomeSpotter from MobileRealtyApps.com, which leverages augmented reality technology and allows people to access information simply by pointing their iPad or iPhone.

Searching for real estate used to mean spending the afternoon in the car, hoping to stumble across a For Sale sign in a desirable neighborhood, said Andy Asbury, broker/owner of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Area Leaders. This new mobile app simplifies the process because it allows users to simply point their iPad or iPhone down a street theyre interested in. Then it automatically pulls up information on all the homes available for sale.

With HomeSpotter, users also can point their iPad or iPhone at individual homes or buildings theyre interested in. The technology works by overlaying property information on the iPad or iPhones camera feed. It generates all the pertinent information home-buyers need price, square footage, and number of bedrooms and bathrooms, for example and also includes a radar feature that shows them to see properties for sale on other streets in the area. The available properties are shown on screen as icons, and users can tap on them to learn more about them.

The app, available for free download from the iTunes Store, also includes traditional functions that allow users to search for available real estate via parameters such as location and price.

For more information about this and other mobile real estate apps from Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Area Leaders, or to contact an agent who can guide you through the home-buying process, call (612) 225-0122, or log on to http://www.minnesotaloftsandcondos.com or http://www.ExploreTwinCities.com.

Android Tablet PC Wholesale Category Launched By China Phones Online Shop, Chinavasion

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

Shenzhen, Guangdong (PRWEB) June 15, 2011

IPad-like tablets from China have experienced rapid sales growth in 2011, but there are more and better Android Tablet PC devices just over the horizon, according to market-leading B2B wholesaler, Chinavasion.

Says Chinavasion Public Relations spokesperson, Rose Li:

“Retailers all over the world are looking for good quality Android Tablet PCs and Smartphones to sell: the demand is huge, and China manufacturers are innovating to meet that demand.”

Apple boss Steve Jobs launched the iPad 2 earlier in 2011 with a prediction that it would be a “year of the copycats” for tablets. Recent Android Tablet PC launches from big brands like Motorola and Samsung have focused on software apps and hardware specifications rather than attempting changes to Apple’s winning tablet form factor. Last month, Apple filed a lawsuit claiming Samsung had copied their ‘technology, user interface and innovative style’ on Android Smartphones.

Noting that Apple’s iPad products have been more than just an inspiration to manufacturers in China, Chinavasion’s Rose Li commented:

“Definitely a lot of Android Tablet designs are just unimaginative copies of mainstream brand products. It’s par for the course in China at early stages of a product market. At Chinavasion we’ve been at pains to make sure we are only sourcing original designs of Android Tablet PC to add to our warehouse stock.”

Ecommerce platforms such as eBay and Amazon have strict policies restricting what type of no-brand Android Mobile Phones and Tablets online sellers can advertise. Chinavasion’s product policy notes that it aims only to sell original designs of smartphones and other gadgets that will not put sellers and importers at risk of bans or bad customer feedback.

Gadget blogs and magazines have focused frequently on battery and display problems with cheap Android devices from unscrupulous Chinese retailers. Chinavasion’s Rose Li commented on the firm’s efforts to guarantee product quality in relation to the latest Tablet PC Android range:

“We’ve seen maybe over 100 different Android Tablet PC designs offered to us in the last few months. Only five so far have made it through our rigorous standards for build quality, reliability, and usability: and those exciting new tablets are such great, innovative devices” says Li. “By launching a product category focused on wholesale Android tablets and smartphones, we are investing resources to make sure that sellers worldwide can access the best Android products that are available out of China.”

Chinavasion’s announcement noted that they will be aiming to source more Android Phones as well as a range of new Android Tablet PC products, available to registered wholesale buyers from the online shop category at http://www.chinavasion.com/android/
